The poet Silke Liria Blumbach was born on December 13, 1970 in Gottingen, Germany. She graduated from Johanneum Gymnasium in Hamburg and later studied translation at the University of Heidelberg, where she graduated in French, English and Portuguese. Look at the language and learn it atodidact. In Haidelberg she worked for the LiOff association. She worked at the German KFOR in Prizren and at a translation company in Berlin until the day of her death (June 11, 2020).

She published three volumes of poetry, one with short prose and a diary in Albanian, as well as a volume of poetry in English.

She published the first volume of poetry "Forty Deaths in Saranda" in Sh.b. "Naim Frashëri" in Tirana, 1999, the second volume "The sunken caravela", in Sh. b. "Naim's Days" in Tetovo, 2002, the third volume "River flowing towards the source" in sh. b. "Ditet e Naimit" in Tetovo, 2007, the book of poetic prose "A year after my death" in Sh.b. "Naim's Days" in Tetovo, 2017, the book "Diary of a return", Tirana, 2010, while the volume of poetry "Beyond the bos of the heart" was published in English in the United States. Silke Liria Blumbach translated into Albanian for the publishing house of the Festival, a large number of well-known names of world poetry such as the laureates of the Festival "Ditet e Naimit", the American poet Craig Czury and the Taiwanese laureate, Kuei-shien Lee, the South Korean poet Moon Chung Hee, Indian poet Nivedita Lakhera et al. Silke Liria Blumbach has also translated 15 anthologies of the „Ditet e Naimit„ Festival from different languages ​​into Albanian.

She was a member of the Directorate of the International Poetry Festival "Ditet e Naimit", Tetovo, as well as a member of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania. She was awarded the Literary Prize of the International Poetry Festival "Candle of Naim" (2001). Her poetry has also been awarded the literary prize for creativity "Naji Naaman" in Beirut (Lebanon), (2003) and the literary prize "January Flame" in Gjilan, etc. Her poetry has been translated into several languages ​​and published in various magazines and anthologies. Her poetry is part of the Anthology of Albanian Poetry published in Chinese in Taiwan (Selected by Shaip Emërllahu and Kuei shien Lee)

For 20 years, Silke Liria Blumbach lived with cancer and depression. As much as she seemed to be able to overcome the disease, it reappeared… And Silke did not give up! Five years ago, to motivate her and to support her in the fight against cancer, the IPF Directorate "Ditet e Naimit" raised a literary prize named after her. Silke / Liria ”, which was given in each edition of the Festival by Silke herself. A year ago she demanded the price to be withdrawn on the ground because she was cured. But, it seems this time her illness came back stronger and made the poet Silke Liria Blumbach, to smile us from now on, from heaven. (Taken this note from Shaip's post)
